A total of 71 teachers participated in this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titled \u2018Early Childhood Education Professional Development Basic Course: Early Literacy Support\u2019, this program was instructed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usj.edu.mo\/en\/faculty-directory\/miranda-mak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Miranda Mak<\/a>, Assistant Professor of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usj.edu.mo\/en\/faculties\/sed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">School of Education<\/a>&nbsp;from the University of Saint Joseph, and other professional speakers from the project. This program aimed to enhance teachers\u2019 understanding of early childhood education and language theories and practices that support children\u2019s development in Chinese literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018GEG Chinese Literacy Education and Research Project\u2019 (GEGCLEAR) is funded by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gegfoundation.org.mo\/zh-hant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;and housed in the Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE). Project-related teaching kits, materials, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usj.edu.mo\/zh\/news\/%e3%80%8c%e8%aa%9e%e6%96%87%e7%ab%a5%e6%a8%82%e3%80%8d%e8%a8%88%e5%8a%83%e6%95%99%e6%9d%90%e5%92%8c%e5%8f%a2%e6%9b%b8%e9%a6%96%e6%ac%a1%e4%ba%ae%e7%9b%b8%e5%a1%94%e7%9f%b3%e8%97%9d%e5%a2%9f\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resources<\/a>&nbsp;are now available for sale.
