{"id":13170,"date":"2020-11-18T10:03:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T10:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/usj.hogodigital.com\/?p=13170"},"modified":"2021-08-05T06:54:28","modified_gmt":"2021-08-05T06:54:28","slug":"dlcre-partnership-project-geg-chinese-literacy-development-scheme-held-a-teacher-training-at-usj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dlcre.usj.edu.mo\/en\/news\/dlcre-partnership-project-geg-chinese-literacy-development-scheme-held-a-teacher-training-at-usj\/","title":{"rendered":"DLCRE partnership project GEG Chinese Literacy Development Scheme held a Teacher Training at USJ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Despite the disruptions caused by the COVID pandemic, the \u201cBasic Teacher Training\u201d session conducted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gegfoundation.org.mo\/foundation-initiatives\/geg-chinese-literacy-development-scheme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GEG Chinese Literacy Development Scheme<\/a> was successfully held&nbsp;at University of Saint Joseph (USJ) on the 31st of October 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only 30 participants were allowed to attend the training onsite due to social distancing measures, and with border controls, trainers based in Hong Kong participated via video conferencing. Teacher training is a main pillar of the Scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training on the day consisted of Parts 1 and 2 of the Basic Teacher Training module. The Scheme\u2019s Principal Investigator, Professor Cheng Pui Wan, opened the session over video conferencing, assisted by Dr Maranda Mak of the University of Macau co-leading onsite.
