Chan Ka Man, Carmen, Bachelor of Science from the Beijing Normal University and Master of Education from the University of Hong Kong, has 15 years of work experience in the field of education. She is the principal of Escola Oficial Zheng Guanying since 2019.<\/p>\n

Having started her career as a high school teacher, she has experience of teaching in both the private and public systems in Macau and has accumulated a rich experience of teaching practices. From 2014 to 2016, she was the director of the Centre of Languages of the Education and Youth Bureau of Macau Government. Since then, she has developed a close connection with Portuguese institutions and has actively promoted the Portuguese language and culture in Macau. From 2017 to 2019, Ms. Carmen started to engage in teacher training and worked as senior lecturer and guest lecturer at the University of St. Joseph, teaching the modules of Mathematics education, Inclusive education and Professional Ethics and development.<\/p>\n

Ms. Carmen has also participated in several important projects and in the development of educational policies, such as the development of \u201cThe Requirements of\u00a0Basic\u00a0Academic\u00a0Attainments\u201d of mathematics for junior and senior secondary level, and also the Chinese-Portuguese bilingual education project implemented in Escola Oficial Zheng Guanying.<\/p>\n
