The development of robotics in social services is increasingly common worldwide in accommodating social services. Robotics has already a ‘here-and-now’ phenomenon that infiltrates everyday life. Social services can no longer ignore this development, which may cause tremendous impact in the future. In the social welfare industry, social workers could be considered as the biggest group of professionals, who are assisting the disadvantaged groups in the society. And their role is to support individuals and their families through difficult times and to improve outcomes in their lives via the resources in the society. Due to their job nature, there are possible concerns about the rise of robotics in the industry. In addition, the rise of the robotics is not aimed to replace what the social workers have been doing, while it acts as supplemental support for the social workers with data supported, as a result, it helps for the prevention as well as the education of the public.

“I have been a reviewer for over 10 international journals.
