Smart phones, tablets, video game consoles, television, audio players, laptops and computers, are frequently used by people at work, school, and different occasions. Although there are few quantitative studies showing that using electronic devices can lead to positive influences, such as productivity and communication, more studies have shown that it can lead to bad influences such as on sleep quality and distraction from work or study. Besides, qualitative evidence is missing on explaining the reasons behind. This study aims at understanding the personal electronic device use among undergraduates in Macau, its developmental correlates and to explore the positive outcome promotion.
