Tool-Task didactic in mathematics education<\/span><\/p>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<p><b>Current major research project:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using ICT in mathematics classrooms: A qualitative study in Macao primary schools<\/span><\/h4>\r\n<p><b>Summary:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project aims to investigate the usages of manipulatives, in particular ICT teaching tools in primary mathematics\u2019 classrooms. The preliminary observations found that pre- and in-service teachers adopt direct instruction and drilling of exercises during their practicum. The integration of ICT tools enhance students\u2019 learning and collaboration, addressing skills and competencies required for the 21st century mathematics education.<\/span><\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;My specialization is mathematics education.
